World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading
The item upgrade allows players to boost the gear rating of an item by up 700 points, and then give it a bonus. Items can be upgraded if they're in your inventory and you take them to the kiln.
Certain items can be upgraded to increase their stats (like perfect broken point armour that is rolled for melee PvP) and others, like weapons, do not vary greatly post upgrade, and therefore aren't worth upgrading.
Weapons
Weapons can be upgraded to boost their numeric stats such as crit chance, attack damage, PvE and damage to PvP. They also have a flat bonus that increases the damage they deal per second. Some weapons also come with a fixed bonus that is activated when three or more identical weapons are equipped in a group. In certain instances, this bonus could add up to more than the amount of damage a weapon upgrades by itself.
A weapon's upgrade costs depend on the nature of the weapon as well as its current level. For instance the weapon with a +2 rating will require two regular Smithing Stones to upgrade while an upgrade of +3 requires four. The number of stones required to upgrade a gun will increase until it requires an upgrade to a higher level of Smithing Stones. At that point, it will reset back to one.
Upgrades to weapons will also change the stats of their base. This is generally a positive factor, but it could also have negative effects. For items that only see use in a specific build (Whistant's shield for FB Sorcs, for example) upgrading them can render them unusable unless you happen to have an extremely fortunate roll.
Armor items can also be upgraded to increase their performance. This can boost the defense of a helm or chest as well as belts and gloves. These can boost their strength and agility. Armor has a rerolling feature for its Enhanced Defense percent. This means that it may roll down to a lower value.
The upgrade template of a weapon will show the new stats it will gain after upgrading, as well as the values of these stats. This means that an upgrade from a sword that has 8 damage to an 11-attack-damage sword will result in a weapon receiving an attack damage of 3. However the 3% does not mean that it will be hit for 3 fewer times, since it is an absolute statistic.
Rerolling a weapon is also possible by pressing the green button on the item menu, using the arrows that are circling. This will roll an item and change its statistics, but not reset the weapon's levels or connect it to an account's status.
Armor

A few armor upgrades can make the world of difference to your survivability. Certain sets can offer MASSIVE boosts to poison, curse, fire and magic resistance, which makes the journey through difficult terrain a breeze. In general, the greater defense your character is, the more value you can get from every point of health you have, so it's important to upgrade your armor as often as you can.
You can upgrade your armor by visiting any of the Great Fairy Fountains. There are four Great Fairy Fountains in the game and in order to unlock each one you must complete a side quest that involves the Stable Trotters. Once you've completed the main quest and the corresponding fountains, you can talk to any Great Fairy in order to unlock the menu for upgrading armor.
Each piece of armor can be upgraded up to three levels and the amount of material and Rupees needed for each will vary. In general, you're looking at anything from three to ten Red Chuchu Jellies and ten Rupees for the initial upgrade, then anywhere between five Rubies and 10 Fire-Breath Horns for each subsequent one. The Champion Leathers, for example can be upgraded to a +5 defense rating, which will allow you to keep up in cold environments with a lot of adversaries. The Snowquill Headdress, on the other hand, can be upgraded to +20 defense, which means you're able to survive a battle with friends.
It's important to note that armor cannot be upgraded in the same manner as weapons, so you'll need to work on upgrading it for physical power if you're Warrior or Spell Power if you're Mage. It's also worthwhile to save your armor upgrades for the armor you'll wear at the end of the game, like the Ring of Lightning and Spectral Shield or the helmet you wear to fight the final boss, the Monter Parts Merchant's mask.
You can also gain advantages to your armor by presenting the jeweler at Gerudo Town 10 Twinkling Titanite. In general, you should keep these upgrades for the weapon you'll use to win the game such as the Longsword, Battleaxe or Warhammer however, it could be useful to have a few improvements to the chest armor and helmets to let you stealthy battle certain monsters.
Potions
Potions are bottled substances that, when consumed, give the player a temporary status effect. There are five kinds of potions, each with different effects and durations. Some potions can be upgraded to improve their effectiveness. Alternatively the effects of certain potions can be enhanced by adding redstone or glowstone dust them.
Potion upgrades require a certain amount XP. This can be earned through crafting them on a crafting table or by placing them in the Alchemist chest. item upgrader varies depending on the type of potion as well as the item's Rarity and Mark Level.
To upgrade a potion, right-click it in your inventory. Then select "Upgrade" from the menu. This will open a GUI which allows you to select the potions that you wish to upgrade, and the amount of experience they'll provide when upgraded. You can upgrade potions in batches up to five at once, and their XP will be added to the total XP you have.
Once a potion is upgraded in quality, it will not deteriorate until you use it again or break the bottle in which it is stored. You can also change the name of the potion by clicking on it in your inventory.
There were a few changes to the mechanics of potion in version 1.7.2. Splash potions for instance, now have a duration zero, not the 22.5 seconds displayed on the hover display of the item. The potion table can now be constructed using four Wood Planks and two Glass. It can be utilized in both Survival and Bedrock. Bedrock Edition potions aren't compatible with cauldrons, as is the case with Java Edition. The same is true for using a potion within the cauldron that is filled. This will drain the potion and refill the bottle.
There are also simmering potions that are made with dragon breath and splash potions. Similar to lingering potions, the' effect is extended by adding redstone to it. The table of potion ingredients is rearranged to look more like the Java Edition. New potions have also been added for instance, the potion of leaping and decomposition.
Trinkets
A trinket is a small and affordable ornament or piece of jewelry. It could also refer to an object or ornament that has a purpose but isn't important such as a Thimble. In some cultures a trinket is used to express friendship or affection between family members.
In addition to weapons, armor and potions, players are able to upgrade their trinkets. Upgrades can be purchased by paying the appropriate currency to an upgrade vendor. As with other upgrades to items trinkets, trinkets can be traded out at any time without losing their stats.
The upgrade vendors can be found in major cities and in the capital of each zone, and in some instances in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets can be purchased using tokens, gold or fragments of rare trinkets.
Upgrades are a cheaper alternative to purchasing a new trinket. You can upgrade their trinket for as little 12 tokens. The new trinket has the same base level as the previous trinket but it also comes with an additional 1% bonus upgrade.
Trinkets can be upgraded once they are not needed and allows players to boost their power and value over time. They can be traded among players which makes them a good alternative to gold.
Players must upgrade their most valuable items first. This usually means the best-in-slot items for their class, followed by their secondaries, and finally other gear items that will not be replaced soon (for instance, a ring or cloak). It is also important to consider your class's preferred stats when choosing the items to upgrade. For instance when Haste and Crit are the two most important stats for a tank, they should prioritize upgrading their chest, helm shoulders, belt, and chest.
After they've become unusable trinkets are able to be upgraded to a higher level. The new trinket has an additional 1percent bonus. A re-upgrade, however, will destroy the trinket unless it is salvaged with the Black Lion Salvage Kit, or a salvage tool. This means upgrading trinkets is more expensive than other upgrades, yet is still cheaper than purchasing the new one.
